In reply to the 2nd charge, stating that I absented myself

from duty without the permission ( of Principal Civil medical

officer per clause No.8 of my standing orders) at 3.45 p.m. the 23/7/12 contrary to No.7 of the standing orders, I beg to

state that it is false, and as you told me at about 12 noon

on the 9th instant, in your office, that on the 23/7/12 at

3.45 p.m. Inspector Risbar Frith saw me in a milk shop in

Hollywood road. I beg to ask your kindness as to enquire from

the manager of milk shop No.41 Hollywood Road, that I never

came to his shop for milk before 4.30 p.m. on the 23/7/12 or

on other dates, and if the complainant had seen me, he must

have asked me for the reason. and further by complaining

against me, Inspector Frith has exceeded his duties, as he had

no charge over me, but Inspector Fisher was in charge of the

Peak district where I am working.

3rd

In reply to the 30th charge stating, that I went out on duty

at 4. 45 a.m. and returned again at 6.45 a.m. on the 25/7/12

contrary to No.7 of the standing orders, I beg to state that

as usual on this date I went out on duty at 3 a.m. and patroll-

ed the district and first supervised the work of conservancy

coolies, and then at 5 a.m. I started the rubbish coolies

from the junction of Peak Road and plantation Road, this can
